Sharma Lewis elected as bishop in the SEJ on the first ballot


The Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference has elected the Rev. Sharma D. Lewis as a bishop on the first ballot. Lewis currently serves as the District Superintendent of the Atlanta-Decatur-Oxford
District in the North Georgia Conference and is the first African-American woman to be elected in the Southeastern Jurisdiction as a bishop.
